R Riverside
1913 - 1983

Riverside now closed was originally named Hammersmith but changed name in 1950 to avoid conflicting with Hammersmith Trolleybus Depot. Riverside operated many trunk routes but will mainly be remembered for service 11 which stayed at Riverside throughout. Riverside was also unusual that every route passed by the garage making crew changeovers easy. The one exception was the 74B where some duties changed at West Brompton.

Upon closure in 1983 the front of the building was kept intact as this was a listed building, once being a manor house (Butterwick House)
