| Twickenham Garage was one of the smallest garages thus one of the friendlier establishments. Crew changeovers were nearly all performed at the end of the road except for the 65 and 71 roads which used Richmond Station. The routes covered quite a wide area considering the size South Harrow in the North West, Archway to the North, Leatherhead to the South, Staines to the West and also operated one of the shortest routes 235, the garage was threatened with closure for a long time and the end finally came on 18th April 1970 with the routes being transferred to Fulwell (90, 90B) and Riverside (290). |
