The first was particularly interesting as it was the night Beddington Lane signal box was destroyed by fire - see last picture of barrier coming down. I knew the driver and had travelled with him from Morden. When he got to Bed Lane a motorist said he wouldn't get through, but the driver went to investigate and just as he went under the barrier it came down, but missed the bus!!
